Volunteer to Sell

Join the MSU Denver Alumni Association and your fellow Roadrunners for a volunteer opportunity with the Colorado Rockies! We are seeking volunteers to assist with the 50/50 raffle at all home Rockies games at Coors Field for the 2024 season. Volunteers can expect a 6 hour time commitment per game and will be required to sell 50/50 tickets to fans throughout the stadium. 20% of all proceeds from raffle tickets sales will directly benefit the students of MSU Denver.

In order to volunteer and sell 50/50 Raffle tickets at Coors Field you will need a credential. Below are the upcoming deadlines you must be registered by in time to receive your credential to volunteer at Coors Field. Credentials are good for the entirety of the 2024 season. After you receive your Coors Field credential you can sign-up for any available dates at any time.

50/50 Raffle Official Rules

A 50/50 raffle (a “Raffle”) typically occurs during games for the Colorado Rockies (“Rockies”). Fans may purchase tickets online at rockies5050.com during the 2024 season according to the Raffle Periods (defined below) as well as in-person at Coors Field during all home games. Online sales will begin at 9:00 a.m. on designated start dates and in-person sales at Coors Field will begin approximately one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start of home games. Sales will conclude at the end of the Raffle Period (defined below) as determined by the Raffle schedule.

The winning Raffle ticket will be drawn as described below, and one (1) lucky fan will win half of the net proceeds. The other half of the net proceeds will benefit the Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association (“MSU Denver Alumni Association”).

The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation (the “Colorado Rockies Foundation”) is the proud host of MSU Denver Alumni Association’s Raffle at Coors Field. MSU Denver Alumni Association pays a marketing/advertising/promotions/venue fee to the Colorado Rockies Foundation in connection with the Raffle.

ABOUT MSU DENVER ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association is conducting the Raffle in cooperation with the Colorado Rockies Foundation. Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association is authorized by the Colorado Secretary of State office to conduct raffles under Colorado State Raffle License: Metropolitan State University Of Denver Alumni Association License Number 2024-19173. Metropolitan State University of Alumni Association is an affiliate of Metropolitan State University of Denver (the “University”). Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association’s primary mission is to create and maintain a spirit of fellowship and good will among all of the alumni of the University.

RAFFLE PERIODS

“Raffle Period(s)” means the designated length of each Raffle. Raffles conducted during the 2024 season will be designated as either “Single Game Raffle(s)” or “Multi-Game Raffle(s)” depending on the length of their raffle period.

“Single Game Raffle(s)” means a Raffle that only includes the sale of Raffle tickets during one (1) Single Game Raffle Period generally on the days in which the Rockies host a home game. Tickets for Single Game Raffles are available for purchase online staring at 9:00 a.m. MST and in-person at Coors Field approximately one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start of the game. All ticket sales conclude at the end of the 7th inning of the game. The winner will be selected only from those participants that purchased a Raffle ticket during that Raffle Period. Winning tickets for Single Game or Multi- game Raffles will be drawn at approximately the top of the 8th inning of the game at Coors Field Gate D.

“Multi-Game Raffle(s)” means a Raffle that includes the sale of Raffle tickets over multiple days as determined by the Rockies’ away game schedule. A Multi-Game Raffle Period will vary depending on the Rockies’ away game schedule. Generally, tickets for a Multi-Game Raffle ware available for purchase online staring at 9:00 a.m. MST on the first day of a Rockies away game and will conclude at the end of the 7th inning of the first home game immediately following an away game. In-person tickets will also be sold of the final day of a Multi-Game Raffle at Coors Field approximately one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start of the game. The winner will be selected only from those participants that purchased a Raffle ticket during that Raffle Period. Winning tickets for Multi – Game Raffles will be drawn at approximately the top of the 8th inning of the game at Coors Field Gate D.

The Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association reserves the right to add additional Raffles with varying Raffle Periods.

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE

Participants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry (except in the case of legal residents of certain states or Washington D.C. where the age of majority is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such age of majority). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Employees, volunteers, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of MSU Denver Alumni Association are not eligible to participate in the Raffle or win a prize. By entering the Raffle, participants agree to abide by all the terms of these Official Rules. Only individuals physically located within the State of Colorado may purchase Raffle tickets online.

CASH PRIZE

Each prize is cash and the amount depends upon the number of Raffle tickets sold during the Raffle Period. The more who participate, the larger the prize. For each Raffle, one (1) winner will receive a cash prize of half of the net proceeds. The net proceeds are the gross pool minus fees and operating costs. The remaining half of all the net proceeds will benefit MSU Denver Alumni Association.

Each winner assumes all responsibility for any state, county, local, or federal taxes, fees, or withholdings. Each winner is advised to consult his or her own tax advisor(s) with respect to the liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in the Raffle. No substitutes for prizes allowed by any potential Raffle winner. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and redemption and use not specified herein as being provided including, but not limited to, lodging, transportation costs to and from any event, meals, gratuities, and other expenses incurred by accepting any prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner and are not included with the prize.

NON-CASH BONUS PRIZES

Raffle tickets that meet certain eligibility requirements may also be awarded entry or entries into separate bonus drawings for non-cash prizes. All tickets purchased during the active Raffle Period up until the drawing will be eligible to receive the non-cash bonus prize. Approximate Retail Value; $100-500.  Actual value of each autographed item is subject to market fluctuations. No certificate of authenticity is provided by Sponsor. Items are not used. All such tickets, including all winning tickets from bonus drawings, will be included in the subsequent cash prize drawings for the applicable Raffle Period. The MSU Denver Alumni Association reserves the right to add additional non-cash bonus drawings throughout the season.

Each winner assumes all responsibility for any state, county, local, or federal taxes, fees, or withholdings. Each winner is advised to consult his or her own tax advisor(s) with respect to the liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in the Raffle. HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS

For the Colorado Rockies’ 2024 Major League Baseball season, tickets may be purchased online at rockies5050.com  and in-person at Coors Field during home games starting one (1) hour before the scheduled game time. All Raffles are Colorado raffles conducted by a Colorado licensee (Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association), with drawings done in Colorado. Only individuals physically present in the State of Colorado at the time of purchase may purchase Raffle tickets online.

Each printed ticket is a receipt of the participant’s purchase and represents one (1) entry in the Raffle for the Raffle Period. Tickets for Raffles are only eligible for the current Raffle Period and not eligible for any past or future Raffle Period drawing.

MSU Denver Alumni Association and Colorado Rockies Foundation are not responsible for (i) printing errors in any Raffle-related material or any misdirected, incomplete, lost, late, or illegible tickets, (ii) for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, or other connections including those through and/or by any website, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cable, or wireless transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; wireless service congestion; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines, telephone systems, wireless or cellular tower equipment; any error, omission, interruption, defect, or delay in  wireless or other transmission, processing, or communication; non-delivery; misdirected, blocked, or delayed email notifications, or (iii) other errors which may limit a participant’s ability to participate in or win any Raffle. All entries become property of MSU Denver Alumni Association and will not be returned. Participants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability and until the closing of the Raffle. No refunds will be made, except as otherwise determined by MSU Denver Alumni Association in its sole and absolute discretion. Raffle ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

The winning number will be selected by random drawing by computer at the conclusion of the Raffle Period in approximately the top of the 8th inning of the Rockies’ home game. Drawings will occur at Coors Field Gate D. One (1) winner will be chosen out of the pool of purchased Raffle tickets throughout the designated Raffle Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received/tickets purchased. The winning number will be presented in Coors Field and posted online within thirty (30) minutes of the conclusion of the Raffle at ecom888.com/alumni/rockies5050raffle for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days. WINNER DOES NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. The winner will have thirty (30) calendar days to claim their prize. If no winner claims the prize, the money will be retained by MSU Denver Alumni Association. Limit one (1) prize per person, family, or household per Raffle.

NON-CASH BONUS PRIZES RANDOM DRAWING

WINNING NUMBER

In general, the winning number will be selected and presented during the applicable game depending on the designated Raffle Period. The winning number will also be available via voicemail at 303-615-0012 and posted at ecom888.com/alumni/rockies5050raffle within thirty (30) minutes following the conclusion of the Raffle for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days.

The winning number and prize amount may be verified on the official Raffle website ecom888.com/alumni/rockies5050raffle. The winner does need not be present to win and will have thirty (30) calendar days to claim the prize. If a winner has not claimed the prize within thirty (30) calendar days of conclusion of the Raffle, the winner’s eligibility will be forfeited. If no winner produces a valid winning Raffle ticket within thirty (30) calendar days, MSU Denver Alumni Association will notify the Secretary of State’s Office, Raffle Division, and all prizes/proceeds will be retained by MSU Denver Alumni Association. By entering into this Raffle, each participant gives his or her express permission to be contacted by MSU Denver Alumni Association by telephone, e-mail, and/or postal mail for Raffle purposes.

TO CLAIM THE PRIZE BY EMAIL

The winner must send via email: (a) a photocopy of their valid government issued identification showing the claimant is eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry and the name must match with the ticket purchase; (b) a photocopy of the original and official MSU Denver Alumni Association winning Raffle ticket; (c) properly completed IRS tax forms; and (d) a signed waiver. The ticket must be visible, complete, and all writing legible including the bar code. The required IRS tax forms and waiver are found on the website ecom888.com/alumni/rockies5050rafflewhich must be printed and properly completed prior to emailing. These documents must be received no later than thirty (30) calendar days from the conclusion of the Raffle. A photocopy of the original and official Raffle ticket, completed IRS forms, completed waiver form and a photocopy of the winner’s government issued identification must be emailed to: [email protected].

GENERAL RULES

The winner must claim their prize within the specified time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in a disqualification and prize forfeiture. The cash prize will be paid to the winner by check via U.S. Mail within four (4) to six (6) weeks from date the winner claims the prize. In the event of a forfeiture or unclaimed prize, all prize amounts and/or items will be retained by MSU Denver Alumni Association. Neither MSU Denver Alumni Association, the Colorado Rockies Foundation, Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Ltd., the other MLB Entities (defined hereinafter), the University, Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District, or Bump Worldwide, Inc. (collectively, the “Released Parties”) is responsible for or shall have any liability whatsoever for lost or stolen tickets, tickets damaged to the point of illegibility, or tickets redeemed in error by its agents or after the deadline. Tickets will be void and prize shall not be paid/redeemed if there is proof the ticket was stolen, unissued, ineligible, altered, counterfeit in whole or in part, defective, printed in duplicate or printed/produced in error. Unauthorized persons copying, selling, or altering tickets are subject to prosecution. All costs and expenses associated with claiming the prize and any and all applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winner. The “MLB Entities” shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“BOC”), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (“MLB”), Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the foregoing entities.

By participating in the Raffle, each participant (i) is bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, (ii) irrevocably grants (and agree to sign any additional documents required to formalize, effect, or perfect such consent) a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty free, transferrable, sublicensable, worldwide license to the Released Parties and their subsidiaries, affiliates, nominees, licensees, other designees and those acting with their authority or consent, and their respective successors, assigns, legal and personal representatives, to use, copy, modify, create derivative works, display, alter, distort, transmit, perform, distribute, and otherwise use my name, image, and/or likeness (whether photograph, film, social media, recordings, tape, and/or video), biographical information, and voice now and at any time in the future whether for commercial or other purposes, in any and all advertising, publicity, trade, promotional, sponsorship (including local and/or national television stations, radio stations, online, or print publications that may be covering the Raffle or any event at which the Raffle may take place) or any other means without compensation, notice, or approval and further disclaim any ownership rights in the content of such advertising, publicity, trade, promotional, sponsorship material or other use; (iii) represents and warrants they will not copy or otherwise reproduce or duplicate any ticket in an attempt to alter the Raffle in any way; and (iv) expressly agrees to indemnify, defend, hold harmless, waive, and release the Released Parties and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, officers, directors, trustees, members, managers, employees, agents, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives, insurers, and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Raffle, and all of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, partners, managers, officers, directors, members, employees, agents, insurers, representatives, licensees, dealers, retailers, printers, and advertising and promotion agencies for any injury, claim, damage, cause of action, suit, arbitration, governmental proceeding, or loss which may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Raffle or from the receipt or use of any prize or any travel or activity related to the claiming, receipt, or use of any prize.

All tickets, transactions, participants and winners associated with the Raffle are subject to federal and state law, applicable City of Denver ordinances, and these Official Rules and any lawful changes thereof. MSU Denver Alumni Association reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Official Rules at any time without notice.

MSU Denver Alumni Association reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Raffle for any reason including, but not limited to, if any Raffle is not capable of completion as planned including, without limitation, infection by tampering, unauthorized intervention, or technical failures of any sort, fraud, or acts of God, war, pandemic, epidemic, terrorism, or cancellation of the game, after the approval of the Secretary of State’s office.
